March 2009
The Orange County Mining Company in Orange is absolutely beautiful perched high above the glittering lights of more than five surrounding cities and on a clear day you really can see forever!
A spacious room with a great wooden dance floor, there was plenty of room for big round tables for the guests, a buffet down the middle, DJ set-up at the head and cake cutting and drink stations on opposite sides of the room. All this with a glass window entirely making up one side of the room offering a panoramic view of the hustle and bustle below.

Torin and I were excited to be asked to dance in this show and in exchange were able to set-up a six foot table with pictures of many happy brides and grooms dancing their first dance through the years and offering a favor to each bride and her family as they came over for information.
At 6pm we performed a sample bride and groom dance, so that the gentlemen could see that if Torin, a high school teacher not a professional dancer, could execute the first dance steps with confidence and ease they could too!

Petals by Xavi very kindly let us dance about their gorgeous flowers and dainty arbor and Amber Event Design put a flowing light design with bride and groom initials on the floor and soft lighting in pinks and peaches all about to complete the mood. Larry of Fly By Night DJ played our song, "Feeling Good" by Michael Buble as we foxtrotted into the sunset.

By the end of the event a soft mist had settled into the Spring night air and the happy (and stuffed!) brides and grooms and their families filtered out into the cool night air to the distant strains of music and laughter.
Make your first dance as husband and wife as special as your wedding day!
