Entering The Dance Floor

Wedding Dance Tip:

Entering the dance floor

I always ask my dance couples what they are going to be doing right before their wedding dance.

Cutting the cake?

Making toasts?

Being announced?

It’s important to know the line up of your events at the reception so you can plan how to enter the floor and start your wedding dance.

Most of my couples like to come on arm in arm or holding hands for their wedding dance from one side of the room.

A few adventurous couples have come on from opposite sides of the room and met in the middle for a twirl or a kiss to start.

Either way, it makes sense to think about your beginning both from a practical stand point and with an eye to letting your guests know, “Hey, we’re doing our wedding dance now!”

Looking forward to finding out what you’ll be doing right before your wedding dance so we can brainstorm a great walk on and some fun moves that reflect your relationship, your music and your Big Day!

Happy end of Summer,
